Magilla is the brainchild of two business partners, who wondered after 15 years of pursuing and closing loans how the process could be more streamlined and anonymous. They wanted a solution to the arduous process of spending so much time compiling and submitting private and sensitive information, meeting with prospective lenders, and waiting months to hear back from those prospective lenders. A way to connect borrowers and lenders quickly, anonymously, and efficiently. That’s Magilla.
The color palette needed to communicate regalness and success. We wanted the user to feel comfortable while using a confident financial tool. We started with a slate-blue, with a ting of purple. This gave us a visual “low-end” to add gravitas to the overall aesthetic. We used tasteful and restrained bursts of color to give direction and action. The overall palate and typography is on par with the statuesque aspects of Classic American architecture, which conjures the ideology of achievement and aspiration.
Released to the iTunes store in October 2016, Magilla provides a rich experience for loan lenders and borrowers. Via its confident and poised app, Magilla stands to change the loan landscape.
