Project Overview

In 2025, Statewide CDC, a non-profit organization specializing in SBA 504 loans, partnered with Three29 to build a custom SBA 504 Loan Calculator and landing page. As one of the top CDCs in the nation, Statewide CDC recognized the need for this essential site feature that many of its leading competitors already offered.

The loan calculator was designed to provide borrowers and lenders with fast, straightforward estimates of their potential SBA 504 loan payments. At the same time, it created a new source of high-quality leads for Statewide’s Business Development Officers (BDOs).

Project Scope

This custom loan calculator project included:

  • Loan Calculator Design and Development: A user-friendly SBA 504 loan calculator that lets borrowers quickly estimate payments and gives Statewide CDC an easy way to update rates on the backend each month
  • Modern Landing Page Design: A modern, intuitive landing page highlighting the SBA 504 loan calculator and sharing essential information about Statewide CDC to help borrowers get to know the organization.
  • Zip Code Routing: Leads from the calculator are routed by zip code so borrowers are connected directly with the correct BDO for their area.

How We Made It Happen

Discovery Phase: We began by meeting with the Statewide CDC team and proposing three different calculator options. They ultimately decided the custom built calculator was best for their business and goals.

Design Phase: The design phase focused on creating a clean, modern, and user-friendly interface for the SBA 504 loan calculator and landing page, fully aligned with Statewide CDC’s existing WordPress theme. We prioritized simplicity for borrowers, with clearly organized inputs, step-by-step guidance, and visible next steps to make estimating loan payments fast and straightforward.

Development Phase: We built a scalable WordPress solution optimized for usability, performance, and future growth. The loan calculator and landing page were integrated seamlessly, with clear navigation and structured layouts that guide borrowers to the information they need. Custom forms were implemented to capture lead details efficiently, and mobile-friendly design ensured the tools and content were accessible on any device.

Testing and Launch: Before going live, the calculator and landing page underwent testing for browser compatibility, responsiveness, and functional accuracy. Lead capture forms were verified to ensure submissions routed correctly to BDOs based on zip code, and the backend was tested for monthly updates to interest rates. The calculator and landing page launched successfully, providing a reliable resource for potential borrowers.

Results

  • 3rd Most Visited Page: As of October 30th 2025, the calculator page is the 3rd most visited page on Statewide CDC’s website. 
  • 3 Deals Closed: Within the first 6 months of the calculator launching, 3 major deals were closed from form submission leads. Equating to approximately $25.7 million
  • Mobile Optimization: The new calculator and landing page is fully responsive and accessible across all major devices.
  • 1.82% Organic Conversion Rate: In the first 6 months of the calculator launching. These conversions are all 100% organic with no ads navigating users to the landing page
